The human impact on the land is undeniable. However, many views of the American Northwest are pristine despite the presence of humans. Highways are necessary for traversing this landscape while also encroaching on fragile ecosystems. Water is redirected to meet agricultural needs and power-lines cross some of the most spectacular views.
